The reward was that when the sun was out and illuminating the valley features, the pictures were excellent. We drove the loop and came out by a bed and breakfast. We easily made our way back to the highway and resumed traveling. We did not bother stopping to view Mexican Hat, as it was not impressive after Monument Valley and Valley of the Gods.

While Valley of the Gods is one of the most beautiful and special places on earth, this B&B is decidedly not. The biggest problem is Claire, the hostess. Though Gary was a wonderful and kind host and I'm grateful for his hospitality, Claire could not have been more sanctimonious, unpleasant and annoying.
